Reference Card · Freeform Thinking
The five things a constructor does to the letters. Run this pass in string-mode.
| Move | What to look for | Example |
|---|---|---|
| ± a letter | A familiar word/name, lightly damaged. Add one to make a new word, or drop one. | VENO ← VENMO |
| Hidden word | A smaller word buried inside the entry. | THINKING · ISLAND |
| Homophone | Say it aloud — it sounds like something else. | KNIGHT = NIGHT |
| Anagram | Same letters, reordered into another word. | LISTEN → SILENT |
| Add a word | Each entry + the same word (front or back) makes a phrase. | CAT, GOLD + FISH |
